2020 – what a crazy year it has been so far! Back in December we left the old decade and welcomed the new full of excitement for what the next few months might hold. I posted pictures of my family, all smiling, squished around my brothers dining table for breakfast on New Year’s Day accompanied by #newdecade and #movingforward. I didn’t see my brother, sister in law and my four gorgeous nieces again until three weeks ago.
As the twenty-tens became the twenties we all became aware that there was a virus in China that sounded pretty horrific. However none of us expected it to impact our lives the way it has.

I hope everyone is surviving quarantine as best they can. I for one have very much been feeling the impact of the ups and downs of the coronacoaster but we are all in the same boat. I keep reminding myself that there are so many that are so much worse off than I am. As a single Mum, I miss my friends and wider family and am tasked with juggling homeschooling with running virtual KnowNow and getting some amazing events produced for when we come through this, which I firmly believe we will.
How can your business best navigate out of this current lockdown? On Sunday 10th May the government is likely to be making a statement on plans to start to ease lockdown.

With recent global events The Cheltenham Festival really does seem like a distant memory. I’m going to be honest here. The festival is one of the highlights of my year. However this year felt strange. Looking back it feels like the last week of normality for me. As I avidly tuned in daily I knew that we were heading for a global crisis. However by watching the racing daily everything seemed normal.
