About Ian Angus.
Ian Angus is the Gambling Commission’s Programme Director for Consumer Protection and Empowerment. He joined the Commission in 2013 and has led on significant programmes of work with the Competition & Markets Authority, the Advertising Standards Authority and the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Prior to joining the Commission Ian spent over ten years working for various public and charitable bodies. This includes the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism and the Department for Communities and Local Government. In addition Ian has also worked for a Member of Parliament and has extensive experience of local government.
Ian holds a degree in Political Theory & Government from Swansea University and a Masters degree in International Studies from the University of Birmingham.
Ian’s interests include current affairs, literature and sport. He is a season ticket holder at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
