Technological approaches to social responsibility – Introducing the Scrabit App

Introducing the Scrabit app:
A digital solution to building digital resilience.

This session explores how YGAM, in partnership with Sky Betting and Gaming, have developed a new app to help take back control of device usage. Scrabit is a new app currently available from the Apple App store. It helps users monitor time, money and feelings of control so the user can maintain a healthy relationship with their devices.

About Andy Walton.

Andy Walton is Enterprise Business Architect for Sky Betting & Gaming. Having worked in numerous senior industry roles over the past 18 years, Andy now uses his experience to join the dots on a range of complex programmes. These include strategic technology initiatives, the integration with Stars Group, and financial/data compliance. He has recently been leading the collaboration with YGAM to build Scrabit, the new app designed to help young people improve their screen habits.

About Andy Smith.

Andy has over 20 years’ experience as a Students’ Union leader, most recently as CEO at the University of Westminster.

Working for charities in the education sector Andy has led and developed strategy, supported elected officers, built peer education models, increased stakeholder engagement, managed commercial operations and successfully fundraised for those charities.

Andy is currently working as a freelance management consultant with YGAM to deliver their Peer Education strategy.
