Meet The Young Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) our latest charity partner at Social Responsibility for Gambling Operators.
Keeping Crime out of Gambling is being held at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London on the 17th January.
With a packed days schedule our first panel discussion of the morning will be moderated by Andrew Gellatly; Head of Research at GamblingCompliance.
You would have to have been hiding under a rock to miss all of the negative coverage of the gambling industry lately. There is so much to talk about… The UK’s hidden problem gambling epidemic, fixed odds betting terminals, sponsorship of football shirts, irresponsible affiliate marketing campaigns, dubious data scraping techniques, connections to crime, sector wars between bookmakers and casino operators, industry donations to problem gambling charities not being met, huge fines being issued by the Gambling Commission, unregulated skin betting, loot boxes and operators encouraging young people with products that appeal to children. The list goes on and on and is growing every week.
The ICLG Guide to Gambling, authored in association with the IMGL, covers common issues in gambling laws and regulations – including relevant authorities; licence application, restrictions and revocation; enforcement and liability; and anticipated reforms.
