Robert Mabbett, Engagement Director, Better Change (Gibraltar) Limited.
We’re delighted to announce Robert Mabbett again as our chair for our 8th Annual Conference. Following our event last September he was always odds on favourite to return again this year.
Robert began his career in retail betting and was named Racing Post Betting Shop Manager of the Year in 2016. Since then, he has worked across the gambling sector as an operator at Betfred, a treatment provider with Gordon Moody, and now at Better Change, supporting a sustainable gambling industry through consultancy and education. This unique perspective provides valuable insight into the gambling journey. Passionate about customer and colleague welfare, Robert believes that engaging with those who gamble is essential to making gambling safer and more sustainable for everyone.

Kirsty delivered the opening keynote at our 7th Annual Conference last year. She’s back again this time with another Keynote. This time she’ll give us an overview of the current regulatory landscape and looking at the challenges that we will need to navigate over the year ahead.
With vast experience in building and leading compliance teams located in every corner of the world, both in large PLC and small start-up environments, Kirsty’s sector specific compliance knowledge is second to none. Her experience has been gained through in-house positions and consultancy services, provided via her business Betsmart Consulting.
Kirsty holds degree and post graduate degree level qualifications in governance, risk and compliance, as well a degree level qualification in anti-money laundering, with the International Compliance Association. She is also Interim Chair of the British Gambling Commission’s inaugural Industry Forum panel which was established 2024.
Jessica Wilson, Senior Associate, Harris Hagan.

Jessica joined Harris Hagan in March 2019 after training at another law firm in the City of London. She is back in September to deliver another legal update.
Specialising in all aspects of online and land-based gambling law, Jessica advises land-based and online gambling businesses (B2C and B2B), as well as many start-ups. She advises on legal classification, non-remote and remote licence applications, premises licensing, personal applications, change of corporate control applications, transaction due diligence, general compliance and reporting requirements, compliance assessments, regulatory investigations, corporate evaluations, operating and personal licence reviews, and developing associated remedial compliance programmes and action plans.
Josh Hodgson, Chief Operating Officer, H2 Gambling Capital.

Elizabeth Dunn, Partner, Bird & Bird LLP.
Elizabeth Dunn will be presenting: Drawing the Line: The Prize Draw Market — Developments, Disruption and Implications for the Regulated Sector.
Elizabeth is a partner in Bird & Bird’s Commercial team and focuses on regulatory and commercial matters in the gambling industry. She works closely with colleagues across Bird & Bird’s international offices to provide practical and commercial advice for clients in the industry, from major listed and unlisted B2B and B2C operators to new market entrants.
Paula Murphy, Head of Business Development, Mindway AI.

Paula Murphy has worked with the Gambling industry for over 9 years. As Head of Commercial at Mindway AI, she is focused on helping operators meet their legislative requirements and enhance player protection. Prior to joining Mindway AI, Paula was the Founder of specialised compliance and safer gambling information provider, KnowNow Ltd and Managing Director at Wilmington PLC’s legal division. She has a vast industry network and a deep understanding of challenges faced by operators in this space. She is passionate about helping operators boost player protection through early detection and intervention. Paula was named Woman of the Year at the European Casino Awards 2025. She has also featured in Hipther’s list of the 50 best speakers of 2024 and 2025.
Will Mace, Head of Strategic Programmes, Mindway AI.
Will Mace is the Head of Strategic Programmes at Mindway AI. He also currently serves as a consultant to Beacon Counselling Trust and is Co-Founder of both the Armed Forces Gambling Support Network and Reflect & Reset – a proactive support service for those identified as at risk of suffering gambling related harms.
Previously, William held the role of Group Player Safety Director at evoke, where he led the organisation’s player protection strategy. He has also served as a Board Member of GamProtect, was a member of the industry steering committee for the Single Customer View initiative, and a member of the Gambling Commission’s Financial Risk Assessment Working Group. Earlier in his career, he was CEO and Co-Founder of EQ-Connect, helping to pioneer data-driven approaches to customer protection and risk management.
Paul Carpenter, Senior Governance Risk and Compliance Specialist, Luke ARC Limited.

This work has included the development of GamCare’s B2C and B2B Safer Gambling Standards and the accreditation of the Safer Gambling Standard Scheme by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). Prior to joining GamCare as Head of Industry Standards, Paul also spent over four years at the UK Gambling Commission as a Senior Manager in Compliance. Paul joined Luke ARC as a Senior Governance Risk and Compliance Specialist in June 2025.
Mark Potter, Founder and Director, Mark Potter Consulting Ltd.
Mark has 15 years’ experience in leading safer gambling education and training iniatiatives across the globe. This includes Tier 1 Gambling Operators (Entain/Flutter/Draftkings) and leading Sports Leagues and organisations( NCAA/Premier League/ Rugby Players Ireland).
